Formula-e Race Case: Hearing Starts In High Court On KTR’s Quash Petition

Hyderabad, Dec 31 (Maxim News): Arguments are going on in the Telangana High Court on the quash petition filed by former minister and BRS working president K. Tarak Rama Rao in the Formula-E car race case. While prominent lawyer Siddharth Dave is hearing arguments on behalf of KTR, PP is arguing on behalf of the ACB.

The Court questioned the government lawyer about the charges against KTR in this case, PP explained to the court that the ACB had registered a case against KTR for paying money against the rules in the Formula E car race case. He said that a case has been filed under the Prevention of Corruption Act and criminal sections. PP informed the court that the ACB had registered a case against KTR based on the complaint of IAS officer Dana Kishore. The court also questioned PP whether the company Formula E Operations was included in the list of accused. KTR’s lawyer Siddharth Dave is explaining the details of the FEO to the court.

It is known that Formula E car racing was organized in Hyderabad during the BRS government. However, the government has found that irregularities have been committed in this car racing affair. The ACB has ordered an investigation to this extent. The ACB, which registered a case on the Formula E car racing issue, named the then minister KTR as the A1 accused, it has charged KTR with paying Rs. 55 crore to foreign companies contrary to the rules. KTR has approached the High Court challenging this case.

He filed a petition to quash the case registered against him in the Formula E car race.  In this context, the High Court took up the hearing on KTR’s quash petition on Tuesday (December 31), it is known that the High Court had earlier issued an interim order not to arrest KTR in this case until December 31, 2024.  As the not-to-arrest order expires today (Tuesday), there is excitement about the ACB’s next step.  (Maxim News)
