Archimedes Green Energy; EPIC International and SureChain Are Top 3 Winners Of Katalyst Business Pitch Competition

Hyderabad: Green Energy Technologies company Archimedes Green Energy Pvt Ltd; Life Sciences-EPIC International; B2B Enterprise Technology – SureChain emerged as the top three in The Katalyst Business Pitch Competition (KBP).  The winners were announced during the closing ceremony of the APTA (American Progressive Telugu Association) KATALYST Business Conference on Sunday night.

Archimedes Green Energy is the Hyderabad-based company that came out with India’s first rooftop wind turbine to generate green and sustainable energy.  Suryaprakash Gajjala and Dr Chandra Pradyutha, co-founders received the Rs 2.5 lakh cheque.

The future of wind energy is promising, with wind power expected to play a key role in the global energy transition and fight against climate change.  Archimedes Wind Turbine is a futuristic product with a future full of promises, said Suryaprakash.

The second prize winner Dr Kolas Epic International Hospital is the first hospital that says NO SURGERY.  Between open surgery and minimally invasive surgery, what do you prefer Prof Dr. Dr. Balaji Patel Kola asked its promoter on the pitch.  For the fear of surgery, many patients are suffering from diseases and are not opting for treatment and they are suffering in silence.  The solution to this is India’s first stand-alone I.R (Interventional Radiology) Center, he said.

The third prize winner SureChain is a platform for business trade to do business between them seamlessly.  95% of the trade is unorganized and they don’t use any technology.  SureChain is the solution said Prem and Srinath Founders of the company.

According to Hari Gaddam and Kamal Sakamuri, the chairmen for KBP, the highlight of this competition was the focus on rural entrepreneurship due to which 10 teams applied for pitching and four qualified for finals.  The Venture Capitalists, Aroa Ventures, SucSeed, and APTA Angels vetted their ideas, and if found investment-worthy, they will also invest up to $ 10 million. The first three winners walked away with 2.5, 1.5 and 1 lakh respectively.  If found investment worthy they will also get investments shortly. 

The competition was the signature event of the first-ever Telugu NRIs Global Business Conference-2025 just concluded at HITEX.   The competition was created to showcase innovative ideas, support the growth of emerging businesses within the community, and provide an opportunity to receive investments.

54 participants submitted their pitches out of which 19 were shortlisted.  They further narrowed to five.  The five companies pitched on Sunday in front of the 1000-plus audience.  From them, three were picked up as the top three winners.  The other two finalist companies include Agri Technology -* Samruddhi Eco Agrifabrix Private Limited and GeoSpace Technology -* Indgeos Geospatial Technologies Private Limited

The competition was open to both startups and early growth-stage businesses looking for investment to accelerate their growth and scale their operations. The startups are competing in areas such as 1. Emerging Technologies: AI, Machine Learning, Generative AI, FinTech, EdTech, SaaS; 2. Life Sciences: Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals, Agriculture, Healthcare; 3. Energy & Utilities: Renewable Energy, Sustainable Solutions, Utilities; 4. Lifestyle & Consumer: eCommerce, Retail, Entertainment, Food & Beverages and 5. Open Category: For innovative ideas that don’t fit within the above segments.
