Hyderabad, Jan 15, (Maxim News): Shikha Goyal, Director of Telangana Cyber Security, has urged the public to stay cautious of cyber fraud during the Sankranti festival.

She highlighted that cybercriminals often target people with fake shopping offers, festival discounts, and huge deals through counterfeit websites.
Goyal also warned about frauds involving gift cards, fake e-wallets, fraudulent apps, and QR codes used for payments.

She pointed out that scams on social media and WhatsApp are also on the rise. Goyal advised people to only use official platforms for booking travel tickets, gifts, and shopping during the festive season.
She urged anyone who falls victim to cybercrime to immediately call 1930 or report the incident on cybercrime.gov.in. (Maxim News)
