Mirchowk Police Arrest Two Burglars, Recover Stolen Goods Worth ₹2.60 Lakh

Hyderabad, Feb 11 (Maxim News): Mirchowk Police have arrested two burglars and recovered stolen items worth ₹2.60 lakh. The accused are Mohd Noor Hassan (33), a photo frame worker from Noor Khan Bazaar, and Himayath Hussain Ansari (23), a self-employed resident of Farath Nagar, Dabeerpura.

What Was Stolen?

The police recovered the following items from the burglars:
✔ Gold jewelry – a necklace and a finger ring
✔ A pair of silver anklets
✔ A two-wheeler vehicle
✔ A mobile phone
✔ ₹1.75 lakh in cash

How the Theft Happened

On February 4, 2025, around 11 PM, the victim, Mohd Imran (29), a businessman from MGBS, found that his iron locker was missing from his house. The locker contained:

  • Gold jewelry (1 necklace, 1 pair of earrings, 2 rings – total 30 grams)
  • ₹2,00,000 in cash
  • Five passports
  • Three RC books for two-wheelers
  • One Rado watch

When he checked the CCTV footage, he saw two unknown men near his house at 4:30 AM. One of them entered his home by opening the door latch, and within four minutes, they escaped with the locker.

Quick Action by Mirchowk Police

After receiving the complaint, Mirchowk Police acted swiftly and arrested the two suspects. The operation was led by R. Ravinder (SHO Mirchowk), with N. Dilip Kumar (DI Mirchowk), SI P. Arunoday, HC Srinivas Rao, PC Santhosh, PC Anil, and PC Sai Kiran.

Senior officers appreciated the team’s efforts, including:

  • Md Majeed (Additional DCP, South Zone)
  • NSSV Venkateshwar Rao (ACP, Mirchowk Division)
