News Of 95 Lakh Votes Being Cancelled In Telangana Is False: Chief Electoral Officer

Hyderabad, Oct 9 (Maxim News): The SEC said that the news of 95 lakh votes being deleted in Telangana is false. The Telangana Chief Electoral Officer gave a clarification on the news that 95 lakh votes were deleted. He clarified that there is a false campaign going on about the revision of the voters’ list. He revealed that only 73,39,235 voters have been identified in the ASDD category in the state. He said that so far 92,88,187 notices have been issued. While notices have been received for 92,23,486 voters, 64,701 notices are yet to be distributed.

The SEC said that the investigations of 82,11,205 people who have received notices so far have been completed. It said that 74,62,851 people have been found eligible to be included in the final voters’ list. It said that only 12,969 voters have been found ineligible. It said that a decision has to be taken on another 18,12,367 voters. It was revealed that decisions will be taken on the remaining notices by November 5, 2026. The Telangana Chief Electoral Officer said that the news about the voters’ list is far from the facts. (Maxim News)
