Mahabubnagar/Hyderabad, Feb 21 (Maxim News): Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has announced that the government will invest thousands of crores for the development of the joint Palamuru district. The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for a new medical college and hostel in Appakapalle, Narayanpet district.
Speaking at the event, Revanth Reddy said, “After 70 years, someone from Mahabubnagar district has had the privilege of becoming the Chief Minister. I will do everything necessary for the development of this district.”
He also assured that the government will allocate thousands of crores of rupees in the upcoming state budget for the development of districts across Telangana. “I will work to clear the debts and fulfill the needs of the people in this region,” he added. The Chief Minister also announced that the new medical college will be named after Chitterm Narsi Reddy.
Highlighting the local leadership, Revanth Reddy said it is a fortunate moment for medical students that their MLA, Parnika, is also a doctor. “You won’t need to explain your challenges to her—she will already understand your needs. This profession should always be practiced with a humane approach.”
The Chief Minister also addressed future employment opportunities, noting the growing demand for paramedical staff in the Middle East. “The government is considering ways to support employment opportunities in that sector,” he said.
Encouraging students, he emphasized, “This is a crucial time in your life—use it wisely and excel in your studies. The poor deserve access to quality medical care, and we are committed to providing services to those in remote villages.”
He also stressed the importance of support staff in the medical field, saying, “You cannot become great doctors without the help of teaching and non-teaching staff.” Quoting Ambedkar, Revanth Reddy remarked, “Glass houses don’t build progress. We won’t let our medical colleges suffer due to a lack of funding. (Maxim News)
