Supreme Court Collegium Recommends Transfer Of Two Telangana HC Judges

Hyderabad, April 22 (Maxim News): The collegium of the Supreme Court of India has issued a statement recommending transfer of two Telangana High Court judges Justice P Sree Sudha and Justice K.Surender.

While Justice Sudha is recommended to be transferred to the Karnataka High Court, Justice Surender is recommended to be transferred to the Madras High Court. The reason for the transfers is to “infuse inclusivity and diversity at the level of High Courts and to strengthen the quality of administration of justice.

Justice Sree Sudha was elevated to High Court from district Court in 2021, Justice Surendar who was an advocate was elevated to bench in the year 2022.

The collegium, headed by Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna, took the decision in meetings held on April 15 and 19 recommending transfer of seven judges including two from Telangana HC, one from AP HC, four from Karnataka HC.

While the AP Judge Justice Kumbhajadala Manmadha Rao is slated to be transferred to Karnataka, the four judges from Karnataka, Justice Hemant Chandangoudar, Justice Krishnan Natarajan, Justice Neranahalli Srinivasan Sanjay Gowda, and Justice Dixit Krishna Shripad are respectively slated to be transferred to Madras, Kerala, Gujarat and Odisha courts.
