Pakistan/Internet/Hyderabad, May 12 (Maxim News): A major earthquake has struck Pakistan. The earthquake intensity was recorded as 4.6 on the Richter scale.
The National Center for Seismology (NCS) has revealed this. The epicenter of the earthquake was found to be at a depth of 10 kilometers. The NCS has revealed that there is a possibility of further earthquakes due to this impact.

The earthquake in Pakistan was posted on NCS X. ‘On Monday at 1.26 pm, the earth shook in many parts of Pakistan. The epicenter was found to be at a depth of 10 kilometers, it said.
Pakistan is one of the countries with the most frequent earthquakes in the world. Earthquakes occur in many parts of the country. There is a possibility of very powerful earthquakes.
Pakistan is geographically spread between the Eurasian and Indian tectonic plates. Balochistan, tribal areas, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Balochistan provinces are located on the southern edge of the Eurasian plate.
Sindh, Punjab, and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir provinces are located on the northwestern edge of the Indian plate of South Asia. NCS Officials explained that severe earthquakes often occur due to the collision of these two tectonic plates. (Maxim News)
