Distribution of wheel chairs to the differently abled persons in NTPC Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Dec 8 (Maxim News): Hon’ble Deputy Mayor, GHMC has attended the programme organized by the VIKASAM, GHMC in consultation with the National Thermal Power Corporation at Kawadiguda as part of CSR for ‘Distribution of Wheelchairs to the Differently Abled persons’ today i.e. 07.12.2016.

During the speech the Hon’ble Deputy Mayor has felt that the Government of Telangana has taken initiative for the disabled persons in enhancement of stipend from Rs.500/- to Rs.1500/-.

Though the NTPC is generating power and lightening in the life of people of Hyderabad and Telangana, similarly the GHMC ‘Baldiya – Dil diya’ is supporting the disabled persons through its wing VIKASAM.

It is also expressed that the Government of Telangana has initiated such a wonder programme ‘Haritha Haram’ and achieved target of plantation under the leadership of our Hon’ble Minister, MA&UD Dept., Sri K. Taraka Rama Rao in making Hyderabad a Clean, Green City.

The Hon’ble Deputy Mayor requested the Director, NTPC to adopt Padmarao Nagar park as part of Green Hyderabad initiative.

During the programme 75 Tricycles distributed among the eligible disabled persons.

Sri V.B. Fadnavis, Regional Director, NTPC, Sri Prabhakar, Sri Satyanarayana, Sri Rajeshwar and other staff of NTPC and Sri Bhaskara Chary, Additional Commissioner, UCD, GHMC, Bansilalpet Corporator Smt. Kura Hemalatha were participated. The Hon’ble Deputy Mayor thanked all the staff of NTPC to spare time for extending services as part of CSR.

The staff of NTPC requested the Hon’ble Deputy Mayor for removal of dust bin in front of their office. The Hon’ble Deputy Mayor instructed the concerned Medical Officer for removal of the same immediately.
