Bandh In Maoist-Affected Areas: Forces Conducting Extensive Checks

Hyderabad, June 20 (Maxim News): Maoist Bandh is continuing in the agency areas of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states. Condemning the attack by BJP and Hindutva fascist kagar (Operation kagar), the Telangana State Committee on June 15 called for a bandh in Andhra and Telangana states on June 20.

Senior State Committee member Comrade TLNS Chalam alias Anand, Sudhakar, Gautam, with 45 years of experience in the revolutionary movement, and Comrade mailarapu Adel alias Bhaskar, with 30 years of revolutionary movement experience, along with members of the Telangana State Committee, announced that they are conducting the bandh to protest the government’s crackdown in which seven people were brutally murdered.

However, two days later, in another encounter, a key leader from Telangana, the Central Committee representative, Gazarla Ravi, and another senior Maoist, Aruna, were killed.

Although no statement was made by the Maoists after this incident, the bandh is continuing in Maoist-affected areas like Bhadradri Kothagudem, Mulugu, Mancherials, jayashankar Bhupalapally, as well as in Maoist affected areas like Alluri Seetharamaraju district and Godavari catchment areas in Andhra Pradesh.

In this context, the police are preventing the bandh from succeeding in Maoist-affected agency areas as well. Combing is being carried out with forces everywhere. (Maxim News)
