Organized Online Satta Betting Racket Busted, Six People Arrested

Hyderabad, June 25 (Maxim News): The sleuths of the Commissioner’s Task Force, Central Zone Team, in a joint operation with Amberpet Police Station, have successfully busted an organized online Satta betting racket. Acting on credible information, the team raided a rented flat located at Bathukamma Kunta, Bagh Amberpet, under the jurisdiction of Amberpet PS, and apprehended (06) individuals involved in the illegal activity.

The accused created multiple fake Facebook IDs linked with unidentified mobile numbers to promote their illegal betting activities. Initially, they lured victims by offering small profits. As the victims invested larger amounts, they began to suffer losses due to the manipulative nature of the betting games.

The apprehended accused persons: 1) Voddepelli Naveen S/o. V.Bheemaiah, age. 24 yrs, Occ. Carpenter 2) Pudari Sai Kiran S/o. P.Mallaiah, age. 24 yrs, Occ. Student 3) Soma Mahender S/o. S.Raju, age. 24 yrs, Occ. Student 4) Bingi Sai Kiran S/o. B.Srinivas, age. 23 yrs, Occ. Kirana shop 5) Bingi Avinash S/o. B.Satyanarayana, age. 30 yrs, occ. Pvt job all natives of Kagaz Nagar, Komaram Bheem Asifabad District, Telangana 6) Sana Sai Preetham S/o. S.Krishna, age. 25 yrs, Occ. Pvt job Sana Sai Preetham – native of Huzurabad, Karimnagar, Telangana and seized property worth Rs. 20,00,000 includes Online bank account balance: ₹79,000/- (betting collections), Cell phones: 17, Laptop: 01, Car: 01, Motorcycle: 01, Rubber stamps: 12, Satta pamphlet/chart: 01, Satta prediction vouchers: 04, Canon color printer: 01

All six accused, being friends and natives of Kagaz Nagar, gained knowledge about online betting and Satta/Matka operations. In pursuit of easy money, they rented a flat in Bagh Amberpet two months ago for ₹14,000 per month and set up their base of operations using laptops and mobile phones.

They created several Facebook accounts under names like Satta Matka Kalyan Result, Ashwin Nayak, Teer Shillong Counter, Arjuin Sarkar, and Vishal K, linking them to unverified phone numbers. They used these platforms to attract unsuspecting individuals who had a habit of participating in online international betting & Satta Mataka betting.

Each punter was asked to pay a registration fee ranging from ₹1,000 to ₹2,000 for number predictions in Satta betting. Additionally, the accused made fake promotional videos where one of them acted as a punter claiming to have won large sums from small investments, thereby promoting the betting site and encouraging more victims to invest larger amounts.

The accused collected money through online payment modes including QR code scanners, Google Pay, PhonePe, and other UPI platforms. They manipulated the outcomes of the games hosted on their sites to ensure the victims ultimately lost their investments.

On the night of 24-06-2025, based on credible intelligence, the Commissioner’s Task Force, Central Zone Team, along with Amberpet PS, apprehended the six accused and seized the aforementioned material. The arrested individuals and seized property have been handed over to the SHO, Amberpet Police Station, for further investigation.

The operation was led by the Inspector of Police, Task Force Central Zone, with the support of the Sub-Inspector and staff of Task Force Central Zone and staff of Amberpet Police Station. (Maxim News)
