According to the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB), areas including Chevella, Vikarabad, Shankarpally, Mominpet, and Dobi Peta received significant rainfall on Friday night. The runoff from these regions is now flowing into Osmansagar via the Musi River.

Similarly, Himayatsagar is receiving inflows from upstream areas such as Chevella, Andapur, Kotwalpura, Narkuda, Tandur, and Moinabad. These inflows are entering the reservoir through the Esi River.

The Water Board has confirmed that there is no outflow from either reservoir at the moment, and all gates remain closed. However, officials are closely monitoring the situation and have assured that emergency services are on standby in case of any eventuality.
