Red Alert Issued In Telangana As Heavy To Very Heavy Rains Forecast For Three Days

Hyderabad, July 22 (Maxim News): The Hyderabad Meteorological Centre has issued a red alert for several districts in Telangana, warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall over the next three days due to intensified surface currents in the region.

Dr. Nagaratna, Director of the Meteorological Department, confirmed that red alerts have been sounded for Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, and Peddapalli districts, where very heavy downpours are expected.

In addition, an orange alert has been issued for Adilabad, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, and Bhadradri Kothagudem districts, where residents are advised to remain cautious as heavy rainfall is likely.

The official urged people in the alert-affected districts to stay indoors during intense rainfall, avoid low-lying and waterlogged areas, and follow updates issued by local authorities. Emergency services and district administrations have been put on alert to manage any potential flooding or disruption caused by the rains.

The weather department also indicated that the rainfall pattern is expected to persist until mid-week, possibly causing disruptions in transportation, power supply, and daily routines in some areas.
