Jaipur Development Authority officials praise GHMC TDR, Build Now policies

Hyderabad, July 24, (Maxim News): Jaipur Development Authority Commissioner and officials praised the TDR and Build Now policies being implemented in Greater Hyderabad.

On Thursday, a delegation of Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) Commissioner Anandi led by Planning Director Preeti Gupta, IT Advisor R.K. Sharma, Assistant Town Planner Rushikesh Kolte, and IT Deputy Director Pankaj Sharma visited GHMC to study the Transferable Development Rights (TDR) policy, Build Now, a unified building and layout permission system.

The team was welcomed by officials at the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation headquarters.

At the headquarters, Commissioner R.V. Karnan explained the TDR Policy, 2017, to the team members through a PowerPoint presentation, highlighting its key features, benefits, and the single-window platform called ‘Build Now’ for obtaining building and layout permissions.

The Commissioner told the team that these policies have facilitated land acquisition for government development programs within the GHMC area and increased transparency, efficiency and accountability in civil services. The Commissioner said that the time for the permission process has been reduced and the implementation of the rules has been streamlined. The team members who appreciated the GHMC policies said that they will work to implement similar systems there to strengthen the city administration of Jaipur.
