Delhi/Hyderabad, Aug 11 (Maxim News): The Delhi Police stopped the leaders of the INDI Alliance as they were en route from Parliament to the Election Commission office to protest. In the process, the police detained several MPs, including Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Sanjay Raut, and Sagarika Ghosh.
The INDI Alliance leaders have once again taken up the fight to protect democracy. They protested from Parliament to the Election Commission of India office against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) processing in Bihar and the alleged fraud in the 2024 elections.
Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Shiv Sena leaders Sanjay Raut, Akhilesh Yadav, senior journalist Sagarika Ghosh, along with several INDI Alliance MPs and leaders, participated in this protest. They believed that the issues of voter list revisions and vote theft were damaging to democracy.
However, the police stopped them in the middle of the protest. Even as the agitation continued, the police force took several leaders into custody as a precaution and put them in a bus. These included prominent figures like Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka, Sanjay Raut, and Sagarika Ghosh. According to the INDI Coalition, lakhs of genuine voters are being removed from the list in Bihar in the name of revision of voter lists, and they are warning that democracy is being put at risk due to this voter fraud.
The leaders of the INDI Alliance have called for this protest to focus on electoral reforms and protect the rights of voters. (Maxim News)
