Hyderabad, Aug 12 (Maxim News): Minister for Roads and Buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said that “roads are crucial in the development of the state“. Companies will come only if the transport sector is good.

 A key meeting on Hum Project roads was held at the HICC in Hyderabad on Tuesday (August 12). Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, Ministers Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Seethakka attended the meeting as chief guests.

On this occasion, the ministers unveiled the Hum Project Vision Document. Later, Minister Komatireddy said that in the 20 months since our government came to power in the state, we have sanctioned Rs. 6500 crore for roads. He said that the roads will be laid to ensure connectivity to all the mandal headquarters from there to the district headquarters, and from there to the towns. He said that in the first phase, about 15 packages of roads will be laid. He said that industries will come to the state only if the roads are good.

Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari said that roads are being allocated to states irrespective of parties. Gadkari has promised to sanction a National Highway from Kalakurthi to Srisailam. Gadkari said that forest permissions for roads are being delayed.  AP is in the bifurcation for high-speed trains and greenfield highways. The CM said that road work should start immediately. He appealed to the officials to complete the work within the time bound. Contractors should maintain quality in road construction. He said that we should remember that we are doing work with public money.  (Maxim News)
