Revanth Explains Progress Achieved In 20 Months Of Public Administration
Hyderabad, Aug 15 (Maxim News): Chief Minister Revanth Reddy explained to the people of the state the progress achieved in 20 months of public administration.
Participating in the 79th Independence Day Celebration at Golconda Fort, after hoisting the National Flag, received a salute from the police force, the Chief Minister said as soon as we took charge on December 7, 2023, we restored democracy in the state. We took policy decisions in line with the aspirations and goals of the people, activists, and martyrs. We gave priority to the future of farmers, women, and youth, We took historic decisions to invent a social Telangana.
With the cast census, we have made the hundred year-old dream of the weaker sections come true. With the SC classification, we have put an end to the decades-long wait. These are not only great decisions, but also the most courageous decisions. On the one hand, we have set goals that compete with world cities. On the other hand, we are providing welfare benefits that fulfill the aspirations of the poor. Our government is governing with a two pronged approach.
There is clarity in our thinking. There is transparency in implementation. We have chosen an inclusive development approach that includes everyone and creates miracles. We have established Telangana as a role model for the country within 20 months by writing a new history of transparency in governance, modernity in development, and welfare. The Congress rule is a carefree one for welfare. History is the proof of this.
For 70 years, the PDS system has been ensuring food security for the poor. In the same spirit, the Congress government has started distributing “sanna rice” from Ugadi. At a cost of Rs. 13,000 crore, we are providing sanna rice to 3.10 crore people. Today, the poor are eating with sanna rice on par with the rich. This is not just a hunger-quenching scheme. It is a scheme to show self respect. I personally monitored the implementation of this scheme. I will forever remember the joy and self-respect seen in their eyes that day. We wrote a new history by waiving off loans of Rs. 20,616 crore to 25.35 lakh farmers in the state. We announced an investment assistance of Rs. 12 thousand per acre under indiramma Rythu Bharosa. In just nine days, we deposited Rs. 9 thousand crore in the accounts of farmers. We provided this assistance to 70 lakh, 11 thousand, 184 farmers in the state. We have also provided investment assistance to 1.2 lakh newly applied farmers. Free power to 29 lakhs pump sets, bonus of Rs. 500 per quintal to the farmers. Paying Rs. 16,691 crore to the power companies. We have spent Rs. 1.13 lakh crore for the welfare of the food grains.
The first phase sanctioned 3,500 Indiramma houses in each constituency by spending Rs. 22,500 crore for this. We have given 22,016 Indiramma houses in four ITDA areas of the state. We have passed bills in the Legislative Assembly providing 42 percent reservation for BCs in local bodies, education and jobs. We have undertaken a comprehensive caste census for 50 days like a yagna etc. (Maxim News)
