Osmansagar And Himayatsagar Started Flooding Again
Hyderabad, Aug 27 (Maxim News): The twin reservoirs of osmansagar (Gandipet) and Himayatsagar have started flooding again. Due to heavy rains in the upper reaches, the EC and Musi rivers are flooding.
The Himayatsagar and Gandipet reservoirs are receiving 250 cusecs of flood each. This has put the water board officials on alert.
Two gates of the Gandipet reservoir are being raised by one foot and water is being released downstream. 226 cusecs of water is being released into the Musi downstream through the two gates of Gandipet.
Over 339 cusecs of water is being released through the two gates of Himayat Sagar. This has increased the flood flow in the Musi river. (Maxim News)
