India Rising on Patel’s Path Under Modi, Says Rajnath
Hyderabad: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh recalled the sacrifices made during the struggle against the Razakars under the Nizam’s rule, stating that India’s integration was made possible by the leadership of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
He was addressing the gathering after unfurling the national flag at the Telangana Liberation Day celebrations held at Secunderabad Parade Grounds here on Wednesday.

Singh said the Razakars “committed many atrocities during the Nizam’s rule,” which forced people to rise in revolt. “The Hyderabad state was integrated into India due to the efficiency of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Operation Polo is a great event in the country’s history. The Nizam admitted his defeat before Patel,” he remarked.
“India Is Not a Simple Country Anymore”
Calling India a rising power, Singh asserted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working to build the nation that Patel envisioned. “No matter how many obstacles we face, we will walk on the path of Dharma. We must thwart conspiracies that undermine national integrity. Prime Minister Modi is working to build the country that Patel dreamed of. Steps are being taken to put the country at the top,” he said.
The Defence Minister also highlighted the government’s moves in Jammu and Kashmir, noting that “we are developing Jammu and Kashmir by removing Article 370.” He emphasized unity, saying, “No matter how many differences we have, everyone is of the same mind when it comes to the country. All the people will come together when it comes to the defense and security of the country. Today, India is not a simple country. We are reaching the level of ruling the world.”
Operation Sindoor Demonstrated India’s Strength
Referring to recent military action, Singh praised the Armed Forces for their resolve. “Our soldiers showed their mettle in Operation Sindoor. We killed the family members of terrorist Masood Azhar. We gave a warning to those who killed in the name of religion in Pahalgam.
The world saw India’s strength and military might in Operation Sindoor. We went into the terrorist camps and killed many more. Operation Sindoor is not over. Now it is just a short pause. Operation Sindoor will continue,” he declared.
