24 Votes In An 80 Yard House: Lots Of Vote-Theft Incidents
Hyderabad, Oct 14 (Maxim News): It is known that there are tens of fake votes in any apartment in the Jubilee Hills constituency. It is noteworthy that all the bogus votes were found in apartments with addresses of close friends of the Congress candidate.
Similarly, it is clear that thousands of bogus votes were registered in the houses of some other rowdy sheeters, close friends and relatives of Congress leaders. Leaders say that if all areas of the constituency are checked, there are chances of thousands of fake votes being found. Field inspection revealed that all those with bogus votes belong to other constituencies, other districts and AP. BRS leaders allege that they are committing vote theft out of fear that the Congress will lose in the face of the development done by the late MLA Maganti Gopinath.
There are 27 votes in a three-storey building with house number 8-3-191/369 in booth number 125 of Vengalrao Nagar in Jubilee Hills constituency. Only the owner of the house and a husband and wife of another family who are renting the house have votes with that address. Moreover, the couple vacated the house a few days ago. When the owner was asked about the latest voters’ list, he replied that he did not know who the 24 people on the list were.
He clarified that he had not seen them anywhere in the past and that the house had not been rented to them in the past. Moreover, three of the 24 voters were Muslims. He stated that it had been 15 years since the apartment was built and that not a single Muslim family had rented their house so far. That is, except for the owner of the family and the recently vacated couple, the BRS examination revealed that the remaining 24 votes were bogus.
According to the Indian electoral code of conduct, a person should have only one vote anywhere in the country. But according to BRS’s observation, there are 971 people in Jubilee Hills constituency who have two votes. These are voters in the final list released by the Election Commission. They have votes in two different booths in the constituency. Name, address, and other details are the same in both places.
Only the booth number is different. BRS is criticizing the Congress party for creating votes for the same person in two different booths as part of vote theft. In some places, BRS’s field observation has found that the same person has three votes. Even if the same person has two or three votes, suspicions are being expressed that the booth level officers also have a role in not removing them. There is criticism that even if some people have double votes at the field level, the BLOs acted in favor of the Congress and did not remove them.
The field observation of BRS representatives revealed that there are 287 houses with more than 30 votes across the Jubilee Hills constituency. It is clear that most of these have more than 50 votes. There are also doubts about the presence of more than 30 votes in a single house. For there to be more than 30 votes in a single address, it should be at least more than 4 floors and all the people living in it should have a locality and vote here. It is known that most of the people living in apartments have votes in other districts of Telangana and AP. In that case, questions are being raised as to how it is possible for there to be more than 30 votes in 287 addresses. According to reliable sources, most of the addresses with more than 30 votes are close friends of the Congress candidate and rowdy sheeters.
The same person has two or three votes in different booths with the same name, father’s name, house number, and voter photo. A 23-year-old youth named Kovuri Karthik has three votes in different booths with the same address.
There were votes in two booths under the name of a woman named Srinath Satyalatha, whose photo and husband’s name were the same. Two identity cards with different numbers were registered with the same photo.
There are 2 votes registered under the name of a woman named Madhuri Guddeti with different photos, the same address and husband. There are 2 identity cards with different photos.
A person named Deepak Sharma has 2 votes and 2 identity cards with the same address, father’s name, and photo.
In each of the 287 election booths, more than 30 voters are registered with the same address. BRS leaders submitted evidence in a complaint to the Election Commission on Monday, claiming that there are 12,000 voters in this area. (Maxim News)
