Internet, July 26: NASA has released a stunning time lapse video captured from the International Space Station (ISS), showcasing India’s illuminated cities, coastal regions and dramatic lightning storms during a nighttime pass over the subcontinent.
The video shows the ISS travelling from the Arabian Sea across southern India and Sri Lanka towards the Bay of Bengal, offering a spectacular view of the region after sunset.
The footage captures the bright lights of cities along India’s coastline, while flashes of lightning illuminate clouds over the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal, creating a striking visual display.
The video has attracted widespread attention on social media, with many users praising the breathtaking view of India and Sri Lanka from space.
According to NASA, the footage was recorded from the International Space Station, which orbits Earth at an altitude of about 400 kilometres.
