New Delhi, July 26: Union Minister Pralhad Joshi on Sunday said he would work tirelessly to uphold the trust placed in him after being given the additional charge of the Ministry of Education.
Prahlad Joshi said he accepted the new responsibility with humility and expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for entrusting him with the key portfolio.
“I will uphold the trust placed in me,” Joshi said, assuring that he would discharge his responsibilities with dedication.
The appointment follows the resignation of Dharmendra Pradhan amid concerns over the alleged NEET examination paper leak issue.
Acting on the advice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Droupadi Murmu entrusted Prahlad Joshi with the additional charge of the Ministry of Education.
Joshi, the Member of Parliament from the Dharwad Lok Sabha constituency in Karnataka, will continue to serve as the Union Minister for Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution while also overseeing the Education Ministry.
The new arrangement came into effect immediately following the President’s approval.
