Biabani noted that the state had received 9,061 Haj applications in 2025, and all pilgrims were able to proceed with their pilgrimage.
However, the sharp increase in applications for 2026 has created pressure on the limited quota.
Following the appeal, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy immediately assured the chairman that he would definitely take up the matter with the Ministry of Minority Affairs at the Centre soon.
He emphasized the state government’s commitment to ensuring that every eligible pilgrim from Telangana gets an opportunity to perform Haj.
