Chevella Bus Accident | Hyderabad, Nov 4 (Maxim News): The Telangana State Human Rights Commission (TGHRC) has taken suo motu cognisance of the Chevella bus accident in Ranga Reddy district, which claimed 19 lives and left several injured.
The case has been registered as HRC No.7141/2025 under the chairmanship of Dr. Justice Shameem Akther. Commission Seeks Detailed Reports by December 15
It expressed deep concern over poor road safety, overspeeding, delayed highway expansion, and official negligence.

In its statement issued on Tuesday, the Commission directed the Transport, Home, Mines & Geology departments, NHAI, Ranga Reddy District Collector, and TSRTC officials to submit detailed reports by 11 a.m. on December 15, 2025.
It also instructed authorities to identify those responsible for lapses and take appropriate action after a thorough inquiry.
The Commission’s intervention follows public outrage over recurring accidents on the Chevella–Mirzaguda route, highlighting the urgent need for improved safety measures and timely infrastructure development. (Maxim News)
