- Police seize MDMA drugs smuggled from Bengaluru to Hyderabad
- SOT police arrest four people involved in drug supply network
Hyderabad, Nov 6 (Maxim News): The Special Operations Team (SOT) police have busted another drug gang in Hyderabad. Despite the ongoing efforts to make Telangana a drug-free state, drug supply and consumption continue to trouble the authorities. Frequent drug seizures in Hyderabad and Cyberabad have alarmed the police, prompting a stronger crackdown on the networks involved.
Officials revealed that four individuals were arrested for supplying drugs in Rajendranagar. Investigations showed that the drugs were brought from Bengaluru to Hyderabad. According to reports, the accused allegedly acquired the drugs using a dead drop method from Nigeria. After receiving reliable information, the SOT police tracked their movements and detained them during a bus journey from Bengaluru to Hyderabad.
The arrested individuals were identified as Sangadi Santosh, Gandhi Sandeep Kandepalli, Shiva Palaka, and Sai Babu. During the operation, the police seized a large quantity of MDMA, a synthetic drug known for its stimulant and hallucinogenic effects. The police stated that the bust was part of ongoing efforts to dismantle organized drug supply chains operating in and around Hyderabad.
Meanwhile, city police have reiterated their commitment to maintaining strict surveillance and have warned that stringent legal action will be taken against anyone found taking or supplying drugs. Authorities emphasized that community cooperation and awareness remain crucial in achieving the goal of a drug-free Telangana.
This latest arrest marks another significant breakthrough in the state’s continuing war against narcotics. The SOT police have been intensifying raids after gathering intelligence about secret drug parties and illegal supply activities. With this case, Hyderabad police aim to send a strong message to drug traffickers operating within the city.
