Hyderabad: Voting for the Jubilee Hills Assembly by-election is progressing peacefully. Polling began at 7 a.m., and voters have been turning out steadily to exercise their franchise.
Major Parties in Tight Contest
BRS candidate Maganti Sunitha cast her vote along with family members at the Navodaya Colony polling station in Ellareddyguda. Congress candidate Naveen Yadav voted at the government school in Yousufguda, accompanied by his supporters.
The by-election has seen a triangular contest among the Congress, BRS, and BJP. All three parties carried out extensive campaigns across the constituency in recent weeks.
Polling will continue throughout the day under tight security arrangements. The counting of votes and final results are scheduled for November 14. Election officials reported that voting has been orderly so far, with no major incidents recorded.
