Rs. 12.99 Crore Flood Relief For Cyclone Montha Victims

Hyderabad, Nov 11 (Maxim News): The Telangana government has sanctioned ₹12.99 crore as immediate flood relief for families affected by recent rains and floods caused by Montha Cyclone.

Revenue Special Chief Secretary Arvind Kumar issued the orders on Monday, directing district officials to extend financial aid of ₹15,000 per damaged house across the affected regions.

According to official reports, heavy rains battered the state between October 27 and 30 under the impact of the Montha Cyclone, severely affecting 16 districts.

The worst-hit areas include Warangal, Hanamkonda, Vikarabad, Wanaparthy, Rangareddy, Karimnagar, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri, Siddipet, Rajanna-Sircilla, Mulugu, Mahabubabad, Suryapet, Bhadradri-Kothagudem, and Nalgonda.

District collectors reported that 8,662 houses were damaged in the floods. The sanctioned funds will be directly credited to the bank accounts of the affected families to ensure transparent and swift disbursement.
