Haj 2025 expenditure | Hyderabad, Dec. 12 : Most expenditure related to the Haj 2025 embarkation point in Telangana remains pending despite the Chief Minister Revanth Reddy approving the arrangements and appreciating the Haj Committee’s efforts.
According to sources the sanctioned funds have not been released so far, which is slowing down essential operational payments.
Vendors Seek Enquiry as Only One Cheque Cleared
Sources confirmed that several cheques are still awaiting clearance with the Finance Department. They stated that only one cheque for Rs. 18 lakh has been released, even though the total expenditure stands at 3.50 crore rupees.
The cleared amount was sanctioned to a travel agency from which the state hajj committee hired cars, while payments to all other vendors remain pending.

Vendors who have not been paid objected to the selective release of funds.
They questioned why only the travel agency received payment and demanded a thorough enquiry into the process.
According to them, their services were also part of the approved operations and must be treated equally.
Sources further noted that only 18 lakh rupees has been cleared for the travel agency so far, while no other service provider has received any payment.
The delays are causing operational difficulties, as several vendors support key services such as logistics, accommodation, food, technical arrangements etc., for the pilgrims.
The affected vendors have formally requested the Minister for Minorities Affairs to intervene immediately.
They urged the Minister Mohd Azharuddin to order a detailed enquiry into the delay and ensure that all pending payments are released without discrimination.
Although the Chief Minister has already given a green signal to the overall arrangements, officials said the lack of timely financial clearance continues to impact ongoing preparations at the embarkation point for the coming year.
When asked about the delay, State Hajj Committee Chairman Syed Shah Ghulam Afzal Biabani Rifai Qadri Khusroo Pasha, said he has been regularly following up with the finance department, on clearance of the travel agency’s cheque, and that he too is surprised by the holdup.
