National Herald Case: Truth Will Prevail, Says Meenakshi Natarajan In Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Dec. 18 (Maxim News): Truth always prevails, and the National Herald case has proved this once again, said Telangana AICC in charge Meenakshi Natarajan on Thursday.

Addressing a rally organised by the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee, she asserted that justice may take time but ultimately truth emerges victorious.

Meenakshi Natarajan participated in the rally held under the leadership of TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud.

The rally was taken out from Gandhi Bhavan to the BJP state office in Hyderabad. Senior Congress leaders and party workers joined the protest in large numbers.

Speaking to the gathering, Meenakshi Natarajan said the Congress would explain facts to the public about what she described as false and illegal cases being filed by the BJP.

Meenakshi Natarajan alleged that the BJP was indulging in vindictive politics against the Gandhi family and misusing investigative agencies for political purposes.

Meenakshi Natarajan also accused the BJP of attempting to erase the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi by removing the Gandhi name from welfare schemes.

Referring specifically to the employment guarantee programme, she said even the Gandhi name associated with the scheme was being systematically removed.

Meenakshi Natarajan said the Congress firmly believes in the path of non violence and democratic protest. She stated that the party would continue peaceful agitations to inform people about what it sees as the truth behind the National Herald case.

Natarajan further remarked that the BJP lacked basic understanding of the history and role of the National Herald newspaper. According to her, the case was being politicised to divert public attention from real issues affecting the country.

Reiterating her stand, Meenakshi Natarajan said that while justice may be delayed, it can never be denied. She stressed that the Congress would remain committed to democratic values and continue its struggle through constitutional and non violent means.

TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud also led party leaders and workers during the rally. The protest passed off peacefully under police supervision.

Congress leaders said such demonstrations would continue to highlight what they described as misuse of power by the BJP government. They added that the party would take its message directly to the people across Telangana in the coming days. (Maxim News)
