Panchayats Should Be Made Into Model Villages: CM Revanth’s Suggestion To New Sarpanches

Hyderabad, Dec 23 (Maxim News): A new ruling class has taken office in the panchayats across Telangana. In this context, CM Revanth Reddy wished the brothers and sisters who took charge as sarpanchs, sub-sarpanchs and ward members across the state.  He urged them to provide good governance, transform the panchayats into ideal villages and earn the respect of the people.

A new administration has begun in villages across the state. After almost two years, the new ruling bodies took office on December 22. Sarpanches, Sub-sarpanches and 1,11,803 ward members of 12,702 panchayats took oath.

On this occasion, a festive atmosphere prevailed in the villages. Sarpanches painted their offices at their own expense. While many sarpanches came to take charge with Baja Bajantri and processions, others started implementing their promises on the first day of winning.

Except for minor clashes and chaos at many places, the swearing-in-ceremonies across the state were conducted with enthusiasm. While the swearing-in ceremonies of the ruling classes were held in many places, they were hampered by lack of facilities in some places. Sarpanch of Bondrat, Tanur mandal, Nirmal district, Ravinder Patel came on a horse in a procession amidst Rajabajantri and took charge.  (Maxim News)
