River Water Issues: MLA Sanjay Advises Uttam Reddy to Be Prepared
River Water Issues | Hyderabad, Jan 2 (Maxim News): BRS MLA Sanjay on Friday advised Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy to appoint a competent adviser on river water issues and attend the Assembly with proper preparation.
Speaking at the Assembly media point, Sanjay said the Minister appeared unprepared on inter state water disputes.
Sanjay remarked that appointing advisers from neighbouring states would not help Telangana’s interests. Therefore, he urged the government to appoint a Telangana based expert as an adviser on irrigation matters.
River Water Issues | BRS MLA Sanjay Criticises Government’s Approach in Assembly
Sanjay alleged that the new year had begun on a negative note due to the government’s conduct. He accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of making inappropriate remarks against the opposition due to a lack of subject knowledge.
Moreover, he claimed that government PowerPoint presentations contained fewer facts and more personal comments.
He further alleged that while the ruling party targeted former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao with harsh remarks, it simultaneously sought advice from the opposition.
Sanjay stated that such contradictions weakened the dignity of the Assembly. Therefore, he advised the Chief Minister to avoid personal attacks and speak with restraint and responsibility.
The BRS legislator said meaningful debate on river water sharing required seriousness and technical clarity.
Sanjay added that the opposition would continue to raise public interest issues inside the House. He concluded by urging the government to focus on governance rather than rhetoric.
