Gongidi Sunitha Warns Kavitha Over Criticism of BRS
Hyderabad, Jan. 5: Former BRS MLA Gongidi Sunitha on Monday issued a strong warning to party leader Kalvakuntla Kavitha, asking her to change her approach toward the party.
Speaking to the media at Telangana Bhavan, Sunitha said BRS cadres would not remain silent if Kavitha continued attacking the party under the banner of Janam Baat.
She cautioned that anger among party workers would make it difficult to move freely in villages.
Sunitha rejected allegations that BRS sidelined Telangana movement activists.
She pointed out that Legislative Council Chairman Gutta Sukender Reddy also came from another party and questioned whether he was not part of the movement.
Sunitha said acting at the direction of others was inappropriate and accused Kavitha of causing distress to party chief K Chandrashekar Rao.

Sunitha questioned Kavitha’s criticism of the Assembly boycott by BRS MLAs and asked whether such decisions were taken without party knowledge.
Sunitha also raised questions about Kavitha continuing as an MLC after announcing a resignation earlier and asked why she attended the Legislative Council when BRS legislators boycotted the Assembly.
Sunitha alleged that Kavitha used her proximity to the party leadership to secure positions for preferred individuals.
She said the party supported Kavitha at every stage, including during her imprisonment, and recalled that leaders K T Rama Rao and Harish Rao stood by her.
Former Karimnagar Zilla Parishad chairperson Tula Uma said Kavitha joined the Telangana movement years after it began and received positions based on her role.
Sunitha said Kavitha’s recent remarks hurt party workers. Other speakers accused Kavitha of damaging the party’s image and questioned her statements related to the liquor case.
