Hyderabad SBI ATM Shooting | Hyderabad, Jan. 30 (Maxim News): Panic gripped Hyderabad after armed assailants opened fire near an SBI office in Koti and fled with cash during an early morning robbery on Saturday.
According to police, the incident occurred around 7 am near the State Bank of India office in Koti. The assailants targeted a man identified as Rishad, who had arrived to deposit cash at an ATM.
The attackers allegedly followed a pre planned strategy. They fired at Rishad and escaped with around Rs 6 lakh in cash.

Police said Rishad sustained a bullet injury to his leg during the attack. Therefore, he was rushed to Osmania General Hospital for emergency treatment. Doctors said his condition is stable.
Meanwhile, Sultan Bazar police registered a case and launched a search operation. Officers are examining CCTV footage from the SBI premises and nearby areas to trace the suspects.
Initial findings suggest the accused tracked the victim’s routine movements. However, police are yet to confirm the number of assailants involved in the Hyderabad SBI ATM shooting robbery.
Senior officials visited the spot and reviewed security arrangements. They also questioned bank staff and local witnesses to establish the sequence of events.
Police said special teams have been formed to identify the attackers. Check posts have been alerted across central Hyderabad, while vehicle movements are being monitored.
The incident has raised concerns over cash handling security in busy commercial areas. Authorities said additional patrols will be deployed near banks and ATMs during early hours.
