Hyderabad: A Sangareddy fire gutted a private school building in Pothireddypally on Wednesday afternoon. The fire broke out in Shraddha private School and spread rapidly through the structure. However, no casualties were reported as the school remained closed due to polling for the municipal elections.

The Sangareddy fire started on the ground floor of the G Plus 3 storey building. Within moments, flames spread to the other three floors. Dense smoke and tall flames engulfed the premises. As a result, the entire building was gutted in the fire. Locals noticed the blaze and immediately alerted authorities. Meanwhile, panic gripped the area and residents ran after the incident.

Firefighters reached the spot soon after receiving information from locals. They arrived with fire engines and began operations without delay. The teams then worked to control and extinguish the flames. After sustained efforts, they put out the fire. Officials later said a major accident was averted because the school was closed due to polling for the municipal elections.

Private School Fire Suspected Due to Short Circuit

Officials suspect that a short circuit caused the Sangareddy fire. However, they have not confirmed the exact reason. The incident took place on Wednesday, February 11, in Sangareddy district. Authorities are assessing the damage caused to the G Plus 3 storey building.

The fire spread quickly across all floors, which intensified the situation. Therefore, swift action by firefighters proved crucial. The dense smoke and tall flames were visible throughout the building. Despite the scale of the blaze, emergency teams managed to prevent further damage.
