Kavitha Supporters Win Vaddepalli Municipality

Hyderabad, Feb. 13: Kavitha supporters win Vaddepalli Municipality in Jogulamba Gadwal district during the Telangana municipal election counting. As a result, the group secured a decisive majority in the civic body.

Vaddepalli Municipality has a total of 10 wards. Candidates backed by former MLC and Telangana Jagruthi president Kavitha contested on the All India Forward Bloc symbol.

They won 8 of the 10 wards. Therefore, the group gained full control of the municipality.

Meanwhile, the Congress party won one ward. The Bharat Rashtra Samithi secured one ward. Consequently, both major parties remained limited in this municipality.

The winning candidates attributed their success to grassroots outreach and local support.

They said welfare activities carried out through Telangana Jagruthi helped strengthen their base. Moreover, the unified campaign at the ward level improved coordination among supporters.

Across the State, Congress and BRS witnessed close contests in many municipalities. However, Vaddepalli Municipality delivered a different verdict. A third political group captured the civic body with a clear majority.

Political observers note that the result may influence local equations in Jogulamba Gadwal district. In addition, the outcome could impact future strategies of major parties in the region.

After officials announced the results, supporters gathered in Vaddepalli to celebrate. Police maintained security at counting centres to ensure peaceful proceedings.

The Kavitha supporters win Vaddepalli Municipality result stands out in the ongoing Telangana municipal election counting, as an independent backed group secured dominant control in the local body.
