Bomb Threat Hyderabad Flight Sparks Alert

Hyderabad: A bomb threat to a Singapore to Hyderabad flight triggered tension at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad mandal of Rangareddy district on Sunday morning. Authorities received a mail claiming that a bomb had been planted on the Singapore to Hyderabad flight. Soon after, airport officials and police swung into action.

Passengers disembarked after threat mail at RGIA

After the flight landed at Shamshabad Airport, officials immediately disembarked the passengers. Security teams then inspected the aircraft thoroughly. However, no bomb was found anywhere on the plane. As a result, passengers and staff breathed a sigh of relief.

Meanwhile, police began investigating the origin of the threat mail. The incident caused a stir locally as security agencies tightened checks across the airport. Authorities treated the message seriously and followed standard safety procedures.

Police probe origin of bomb threat mail

Officials explained that 23 fake threat calls were received at Shamshabad Airport from December last year to today, covering a period of two months. Therefore, the latest bomb threat to the Hyderabad flight adds to a series of similar incidents. Police said they have already identified and arrested many people involved in such cases.

Later, the investigation revealed that some more people had made these threats through emails sent from abroad. As a result, police registered a case and started a detailed probe. They are now tracing the source of the latest email and examining technical details linked to it.

The bomb threat to the Hyderabad flight once again highlighted concerns over fake alerts targeting the airport. However, swift action by authorities ensured passenger safety. Police continue their investigation to identify those responsible and prevent further such incidents at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.
