Under the scheme, farmers will receive a bonus of Rs 500 per quintal. Around 2.17 lakh farmers are set to benefit directly from this payment. Officials stated that the move aims to support small paddy cultivation and ensure better returns for farmers. They added that the government wants to provide remunerative prices and strengthen farm incomes.

So far, the state government has paid a total bonus of Rs 1,939.58 crore to farmers. With the latest release, most of the pending dues are likely to be cleared almost completely. Meanwhile, officials reiterated that farmer welfare remains a priority. The government continues to offer support through grain purchases, bonus payments, and Minimum Support Price.

Officials also advised farmers to check their bank accounts for the credited amounts. If there are any issues, they should contact the relevant purchasing centres and the Civil Supplies Department. This step, they said, will help resolve payment concerns quickly.

Farmers have expressed joy over the release of the pending dues. Many see the payment as timely support during the agricultural season. Officials maintained that the initiative will encourage small paddy cultivation in the state. They believe the direct transfer system will also improve transparency and efficiency.
