British Man Finds Great Grandfather Grave in Hyderabad After 19 Year Search
Hyderabad, Feb. 18 (Maxim News): A British citizen has traced his great grandfather’s grave in Hyderabad after a 19 year search across India.
Robin Dixon travelled from England to locate the burial site of his great grandfather Charles Wilson, who died in Hyderabad 130 years ago. His search finally ended in Secunderabad.
Wilson joined the British Army in 1880. He served in Bengaluru and Madras before moving to the Secunderabad Regiment as a Lieutenant. He died due to illness on August 4, 1906 at Tirumalagiri Hospital at the age of 48.

However, his family had no clear record of his burial site. Therefore, Robin Dixon began searching nearly two decades ago. He examined old documents, church records and cemetery archives in Bengaluru, Chennai and Secunderabad.
Eventually, with help from a local reporter, he identified the grave at Cemetery 12 in Tirumalagiri, Secunderabad. Soon after confirming the location, Dixon travelled to Hyderabad with his wife Lyn.
At the grave, he placed white roses and paid tribute. He said he had waited many years for this moment. He also thanked everyone who helped him during the long search.
Dixon described the discovery as deeply satisfying after 19 years of effort. (Maxim News)
