GHMC Commissioner Orders Strict Sanitation for Ramzan

Hyderabad, Feb. 18 (Maxim News): GHMC Commissioner R V Karnan has directed officials to carry out sanitation activities strictly and effectively across the city ahead of Ramzan.

On Wednesday, he conducted a field inspection in the Charminar Zone. He reviewed sanitation arrangements at Mecca Masjid, Madina and the Charminar precinct.

Additional Commissioner Ravi Kiran and Charminar Zonal Commissioner Srinivas Reddy accompanied him during the visit.

Sanitation Activities Intensified in Charminar Zone

During the inspection, Karnan examined staff deployment and route maps.

Commissioner also reviewed monitoring systems and cleanliness around places of worship.

Moreover, he assessed road sweeping and waste collection in commercial and market areas. Cleanliness at major junctions and pedestrian pathways was also checked.

Karnan held on site discussions with officials on drain desilting and garbage prevention. In addition, he stressed the need for strict supervision at Circle and Zonal levels.

Since footfall will increase during Ramzan, he instructed officials to maintain cleanliness at roads, junctions and prayer venues at all times.

Therefore, he called for extra staff, tighter supervision and real time monitoring.

Karnan also appealed to citizens and traders to cooperate with sanitation staff.

Furthermore, he reaffirmed GHMC commitment to maintaining hygiene across Greater Hyderabad.
