Reliance Group Chairman Anil Ambani Summoned By ED Once Again
Delhi/Hyderabad, Feb 19 (Maxim News): Reliance Group Chairman Anil Ambani has been summoned again by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). He has been facing investigation in a foreign exchange violation case for some time now and the ED has ordered him to appear before them on the 26th of this month.
Anil Ambani recently failed to appear for the summons issued by the ED. In this context, the authorities have sent him a second notice. His wife Tina Ambani is also to be questioned by the ED. However, she too failed to appear for the questioning twice in the past. The investigation against the Ambani family is ongoing in connection with the violation of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) provisions. The ED officials are likely to question them about their assets and transactions abroad.
Meanwhile, it has now become interesting whether Anil Ambani will attend the hearing on the 26th of this month or not. It has become interesting to see what action the ED is likely to take in the future due to his consecutive absences from the hearing. (Maxim News)
