- Schools in Hyderabad revise timings for Ramzan 2026
- Half day schedule in Telangana; SSC centres to follow separate timings
Hyderabad: Schools in Hyderabad have changed their timings for Ramzan 2026. Some institutions revised their schedules to support students during the fasting month. The decision comes as part of adjustments made across the city and other districts of Telangana.
A school in the city stated that the changes aim to ensure comfortable and productive learning for students. The schools that introduced revised timings are minority run institutions. One of the schools in Hyderabad shifted its working hours to 7:45 am to 1:15 pm. Similarly, some other schools also made comparable changes in their daily schedule.
Meanwhile, the state government recently announced relief for Muslim government employees. The government said all Muslim government employees will be allowed to leave office by 4 pm during the fasting month. Therefore, the change in school timings aligns with the broader adjustments being made during Ramzan 2026.
In addition, schools in Hyderabad and other districts of Telangana will move to a half day schedule. Under the new arrangement, schools will function from 8 am to 12:30 pm from March 16. Students studying in government and local body institutions will receive mid day meals at 12:30 pm. This schedule aims to maintain academic continuity while adjusting to the fasting period.
However, schools designated as centres for SSC Public Examinations will follow separate timings. These institutions will conduct classes from 1 pm to 5 pm. The change is necessary because the examinations will take place in the morning session.
Overall, the revised school timings during Ramzan 2026 reflect coordinated efforts by institutions and the state government. The measures focus on maintaining smooth academic operations while considering the needs of students and staff during the fasting month.
