WATCH: Ramchander Rao Arrested By Police

Hyderabad: BJP state president Ramchander Rao was arrested by police when he tried to leave for Kamareddy. Police stopped him, stating that he did not have permission to travel. The arrest triggered tension at his residence in Tarnaka, where a large number of BJP workers gathered.

Police said they blocked Ramchander Rao from proceeding to Kamareddy due to lack of permission. However, Rao made it clear that he would go to Kamareddy at any cost. As the situation escalated, police took him and several BJP workers into custody. Meanwhile, police also deployed forces at the houses of key BJP leaders.

The situation in Kamareddy appears tense, with a visible political face off between BJP and Congress leaders. Leaders from both parties have been issuing challenges and counter challenges. In this backdrop, BJP MLA Venkata Ramana Reddy threw an open challenge to Congress leader Shabbir Ali. He said they would settle all issues at the Collectorate.

Meanwhile, police intensified security measures. They ensured that no one proceeded towards Kamareddy. The developments come amid rising political tension between BJP and Congress in the region. Earlier in the day, police had already deployed personnel outside Ramchander Rao’s residence. Later, they moved in and arrested him when he attempted to leave for Kamareddy.

The arrest and preventive action have heightened political activity in both Hyderabad and Kamareddy. BJP leaders and workers continued to gather despite police presence. At the same time, authorities remained firm on restricting travel to Kamareddy. The unfolding events point to an increasingly charged atmosphere as both sides continue their political confrontation.
