Hyderabad CP Reviews H-CITI Flyover Works at Mugdha Junction

Hyderabad CP | Hyderabad, Feb. 27 (Maxim News): The Hyderabad City Innovative and Transformative Infrastructure (H-CITI) project has gained momentum. The city launched this project to reduce future traffic congestion. Now, authorities have accelerated the work.

On Friday, Hyderabad City Commissioner of Police V. C. Sajjanar conducted a field inspection at Mugdha Junction on Banjara Hills Road No. 2.

He reviewed the ongoing steel flyover construction. Senior police officers, GHMC officials, and representatives from Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited accompanied him.

Speaking at the site, the Commissioner said the government aims to build a signal-free road network in the city.

Sajjanar explained that authorities will construct seven flyovers and underpasses over the next two years.

These structures will mainly ensure smooth traffic movement around KBR National Park. He further stated that officials planned the project carefully.

They are coordinating with the GHMC, the State Government, and the Police Department. As a result, they aim to reduce inconvenience to the public.

Meanwhile, construction of six pillars from Mugdha Junction towards KBR Park will begin on Friday night.

Authorities will carry out most work during night hours. Therefore, daytime traffic disruption will remain minimal.

The Commissioner assured that there may be slight inconvenience during the foundation stage. However, once crews complete the base work, vehicles will move normally.

He added that the project will transform the KBR Park surroundings. Once completed, the area will have signal-free junctions.

Consequently, commuters can travel faster to the Central, Eastern, and Western parts of the city.

However, traffic restrictions will apply on certain routes during construction.

Therefore, officials advised motorists to plan their journeys in advance. In addition, the Commissioner urged people to use public transport whenever possible. Authorities will review the situation during the first two to three days after work begins.

Based on traffic flow, they will modify routes if needed. They will also issue updated advisories from time to time.

Finally, the Commissioner appealed to citizens to cooperate. He said the project will support Hyderabad’s long-term development.

Several senior officials attended the inspection, including Joint CP (Traffic) D. Joel Davis, Joint CP (Special Branch) S.M. Vijay Kumar, DCP (Traffic) Kajal, and Jubilee Hills DCP Ramana Reddy, along with GHMC officials and project engineers. (Maxim News)
