Dubai Internet Hyderabad Mar 4: Israel’s Defence Minister Israel Katz has warned that whoever is chosen as Iran’s next Supreme Leader will be “a target for elimination.” He made the statement on X amid the ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran.

Katz issues warning on Iran next Supreme Leader

The warning came after Israel killed 86 year old Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in a strike on Saturday, an attack that triggered the current war. Since then, attention has shifted to the process of selecting Iran’s next Supreme Leader. Israel Katz directly addressed this issue in his message.

“Every leader appointed by the Iranian terror regime to continue and lead the plan to destroy Israel, to threaten the United States and the free world and the countries of the region, and to suppress the Iranian people – will be a target for elimination,” he wrote.

His statement signals that Israel intends to act against any successor who follows what it describes as hostile policies toward Israel, the United States and other countries in the region. Meanwhile, the strong language reflects the heightened tensions between the two nations.
