Hyderabad, March 15: The Telangana government will host the annual Ramzan Iftar dinner at LB Stadium on Sunday.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will attend the event along with several ministers.
The Chief Minister will join members of the Muslim community for the Iftar gathering. Ministers and senior officials will also participate in the programme. The government completed elaborate arrangements at the venue.
Officials said the event reflects communal harmony. Therefore, public representatives and religious leaders from across the state are expected to attend. Thousands of members from the Muslim community may also join the gathering.
Moreover, the Chief Minister and ministers will extend Ramzan greetings during the event. Officials described the programme as an important annual interaction. The government has organised the dinner as part of its outreach during the holy month.
Ramzan Iftar Dinner Traffic Restrictions
Hyderabad Traffic Police announced traffic restrictions around LB Stadium. These restrictions will remain in force from 5 pm to 10 pm. Therefore, commuters may face diversions on key roads near the venue.
Officials said traffic congestion is likely near Lakdikapul and Ravindra Bharathi junctions. Traffic may also slow near Basheerbagh and the BJR statue junction. SBI Gunfoundry and AR Petrol Pump junction may also see heavy movement.
Police advised motorists to use alternative routes during the restriction period. They also requested commuters to plan travel in advance. Traffic officials asked citizens to cooperate with on ground staff.
Authorities also released a traffic helpline number for assistance. Citizens can contact 9010203626 during emergencies. Police said help desks will remain active during the event.
Meanwhile, officials arranged special parking spaces for vehicles attending the Iftar dinner. Police also deployed heavy security inside and outside the stadium. These measures aim to prevent any untoward incidents.
Hyderabad Police said they will monitor the event through surveillance systems. Security teams will also regulate entry points. Officials said all arrangements are in place for the smooth conduct of the programme.
