- Attapur burglary during Ramzan targets trader house
- Cash and gold stolen as police launch investigation
Hyderabad, March 23: A major Attapur burglary was reported during Ramzan after unidentified persons stole cash and gold from a trader’s house in Jalal Baba Nagar. The incident occurred when the house owner was away, raising concerns about security during festive periods.
According to police, the burglars broke open the locks of the house and entered the premises. The owner, Mohd Firoz, had locked the house and gone to a relative’s place to celebrate Ramzan. Meanwhile, the suspects took advantage of his absence and carried out the theft.
The burglars reportedly ransacked the bedroom after entering the house. They broke open an almirah and stole around Rs 20 lakh in cash. They also took gold jewellery and silver articles. Therefore, the total loss is significant, and the incident has shocked local residents.
Later, Mohd Firoz returned home on Sunday evening and found the house burgled. He immediately alerted the police by dialing 100. Police teams then reached the spot and began an investigation into the Attapur burglary case.
Meanwhile, police suspect that the accused may be known to the victim. They believe the suspects had prior knowledge of the owner’s movements. This indicates that the theft was planned and executed within a short span of time.
To gather evidence, police deployed a dog squad and a clues team at the scene. They are also examining CCTV footage from nearby areas. These efforts aim to identify the suspects and track their movements before and after the crime.
Furthermore, special teams have been formed to trace the accused at the earliest. Police are focusing on leads that could help solve the case quickly. Therefore, the investigation remains active, with authorities working to recover the stolen property.
The Attapur burglary has highlighted the risks during festive times when many families leave their homes unattended. Meanwhile, police continue to urge residents to remain alert and take necessary precautions.
