- Hyderabad rain alert warns of thunderstorms and gusty winds
- IMD issues yellow warning across Telangana districts
Hyderabad, March 25: The Hyderabad rain alert for March 26-27 has been issued by the India Meteorological Department, warning residents to prepare for wet weather conditions. The alert signals light to moderate rainfall along with thunderstorms across the region over the next few days.
According to the IMD forecast, rain activity is expected on March 26 and 27. The department also warned of lightning strikes and gusty winds during this period. Therefore, residents have been advised to remain cautious, especially while outdoors.
Meanwhile, the Hyderabad rain alert extends beyond the city. Several districts in Telangana are likely to experience similar weather. These include Sangareddy, Vikarabad, Narayanpet, Mahabubnagar, Gadwal, Nagarkurnool, and Rangareddy. Thunderstorms with brief spells of rain are expected in these areas.
A weather observer known as Telangana Weatherman has also indicated rainfall activity. He suggested that some parts of the region could receive showers as early as this evening. However, official forecasts continue to guide preparedness measures.
Weather pattern and cloud build up across Hyderabad
The IMD noted that Hyderabad may see hazy conditions until March 25. After that, weather conditions are expected to change. Rain bearing clouds will likely develop over the city and surrounding districts.
As a result, showers and thunderstorms may continue through March 27. The shift in weather pattern indicates a short period of unstable atmospheric conditions. Therefore, residents should stay updated with official advisories.
Advisory issued as thunderstorms and lightning risk rises
Authorities have urged people to take precautions during this period. Lightning and strong winds can pose risks, especially in open areas. Therefore, residents should remain alert during sudden weather changes.
The Hyderabad rain alert also highlights possible disruptions. Outdoor plans may be affected due to rainfall and wind activity. Meanwhile, people are advised to monitor weather updates regularly.
The expected rainfall may bring temporary relief from rising temperatures. However, it also increases the risk of thunderstorms. Hence, caution remains essential as the weather system develops over the next two days.
