Hyderabad, March 26: Minister Vakiti Srihari said that fish will be served in mid-day meals to students in Telangana. He made this statement while answering questions raised by members in the Legislative Assembly.

He said that the state has a strong livestock population. He also noted that Telangana is at the top in egg production. Therefore, he indicated that the inclusion of fish in meals aligns with the state’s existing strengths in animal resources.

Meanwhile, Azharuddin said that huge funds are being spent on the education of minorities. He highlighted ongoing financial support aimed at improving access and quality in minority education. However, no additional details were shared during the discussion.

The Legislative Assembly later approved the bills of animal husbandry, fisheries, sports, minority, and welfare departments.
