- Telangana school summer vacation schedule and exam dates updated
- SA-II exams rescheduled due to TOSS public examinations
Hyderabad, April 3: Telangana school students will get a nearly 50-day summer vacation this year. The School Education department has fixed April 23 as the last working day for the academic year 2025–26. Therefore, students can prepare to wrap up their classes earlier than expected.
The schools will begin the summer vacation from April 24 and continue the break until June 11. Meanwhile, the new academic year 2026–27 will start on June 12. This schedule gives students a long holiday period after exams.
SA-II Exams Rescheduled Ahead of Summer Vacation
Before the vacation, schools will conduct the summative assessment II exams. However, officials have advanced these exams to April 8. Earlier, the exams for Classes I to IX were planned from April 10. The change ensures there is no clash with other major exams.
The department took this decision due to the Telangana Open School Society SSC and Intermediate Public Examinations. As per the revised plan, the SA–II exams will conclude on April 18. A senior official said, “While the SA-II exams have been advanced due to TOSS exams, there is no change in the summer vacation schedule.”
After the exams, teachers will evaluate answer sheets and record results. Also, schools will conduct parent–teacher meetings before the academic year ends. This helps parents understand student performance clearly.
Meanwhile, the department has ensured that the revised exam dates do not affect the planned holidays. Therefore, students will still receive the full summer break as scheduled. The move aims to balance academic activities with external examination commitments.
