Speaking at the event, Nawab Najaf Ali Khan described the seventh Nizam as a secular and visionary ruler. He highlighted his contributions to healthcare, education, irrigation, and infrastructure.
He said institutions established during the Nizam’s rule still serve the poor. He added that NIMS continues to reflect his vision of accessible healthcare.
Family members also expressed concern over the lack of official recognition of his birth anniversary. They said this may reduce awareness of his contributions among future generations.
They recalled that the day was earlier marked through prayers and charity. Nawab Najaf Ali Khan urged the Telangana government to officially observe April 6 as the birth anniversary of Nizam VII.
NIMS was established to provide affordable healthcare to weaker sections. The institution continues to serve that objective, reflecting the Nizam’s public welfare vision.
